Just after the park entrance where they collect the entrance fee you start getting information about the park.
Every state park in Texas I've been in that has water has a sign like this one.

This troop urges the boys to bring packs and only the gear that will fit in their pack.
Now this is the sort of vehicle you expect scout to arrive in.
Clearly these campers aren't willing to forego their comforts. Gotta love the Direct TV disk with its "caution" tape.
Away from the boats you find egrets and other birds.
Trees go almost all the way down to the lake.
