I walked around my neighborhood and took some pictures.
This is St. Vincent's down the street from my house. Notice how heavy the clouds still are and how dark it is after 10 a.m.
This is the intersection with the church. When taking this picture I was hearing a loud metallic noise.
Not shown in this picture is that one of the street signs was hanging by one corner and the traffic light is out. People were driving in a very orderly manner and treating the intersection as a four way stop.
Source of Metal Noise
This is what ways making the horrendous metallic noise. When the normal 20 mph or so but when the 40-50 mph gusts come along then the roof lifts up as shown in the inset. The corner of the carport has already lost one panel and I expect unless someone gets out there with a screwgun or something like that it will lose more panels. As many as 5 were lifting up and banging depending on the severity of the gusts.
